On Monday, we had a pretty easy practice, which felt nice and gave us a chance to just relax after a long weekend of games. Then on Tuesday, we played Wooster, and our coach gave a lot of people the opportunity to get in and play. It was really cool to see everyone get a chance, especially this late in the season. Today we had an off day, which we definitely appreciated. Earlier in the year, we went to support a basketball game, and because of that, our coach gave us a free day off to use whenever we wanted. We decided to use it this Thursday, which worked out perfectly for this last week. On Friday, we get to make our own practice plan, which is something we've all been looking forward to. We're probably going to keep it fun by playing kickball and then going to get ice cream after. It feels like a good way to just enjoy our last practices together and not take things too seriously.
Our final game is on Saturday against Heildberg, and it's crazy to think that it's all coming to an end. Even though it wasn't the season we hoped for, I am still really thankful for it. I couldn't have done it without my teammates. We all get along so well, and that made even the tough moments worth it. Even though it was a rough season, my friends truly made it special, and that's what I'll remember the most.

Hey Karlie! A mix of emotions is the perfect way to put it. Because I am really proud of our team and the fight we put up every game, but I am also sad for the season to be ending and to say goodbye to our seniors. Looking forward to everything we can bring next year!
ReplyDeleteHi Karlie! I know how hard it can be to see a season come to an end, especially with the field this year, but you have an amazing mindset looking forward to next year. Good luck against Heidelberg! I will definitely have to come out to some games next season!
